welcome to my website - I'm glad, that you find your way to my homepage! My name is Daniel Sitzmann and I live in Germany. I'm originally from Darmstadt but live now in Hamburg for some years.
Already in my younger days I was inspired by computers and programming them; and that quite a while before the internet - how we know it today - even exists. In the past I was almost a nerd: since 1999 I develop professional websites and -applications for the internet. After my studies in business informatics, logistics and psychology at the Technical University of Darmstadt and the University of Hamburg, I worked awhile as a freelancer in IT-Consulting for different projects and firms. Find out more.
Since april 2010 I am working as a research associate and Ph.D. student at the department of informatics, University of Hamburg. Currently my research interest are eLearning, Web-Development and Web 2.0.
I like to spend most of my free time in nature - I like the ocean best. I'm interested in the nature and its protection, fascinated by the Wadden Sea of the German Bight, the coast area of the North- and Baltic Sea and I campaign for the conservation of these landscapes.
My big passion is sailing. If I have enough time and money, you can find me on the North- or Baltic Sea. The remain of the season I sail dinghy on Outer Alster Lake - preferably here.
May be sometime we got the chance to start up a conversation - interactive or in reality -, I'm looking forward to it. Until then...
Sunny greetings from Hamburg,
Daniel Sitzmann
...Fair winds and following seas! ;-)
